A Day in Our Nursery Room (0–2 Years)

Our Nursery Room at Landsdale Early Learning and Enrichment is designed for our youngest explorers: children aged 0 to 2 years. Everything we do in this room revolves around three things: care, comfort, and following each child's unique routine.

Here's a look at what a typical day in our Nursery looks like.

Early Mornings (6:30 – 7:30)

We know early mornings can be a big transition for little ones. Children are warmly welcomed into our Kindy Room to begin the day together, and for our early arrivals, we offer breakfast to help start the day right. It's a gentle, unhurried start, just the way our youngest explorers need it.

Settling In & Free-Flow Play

Once the day begins, children move into the Nursery where they enjoy free-flow play exploring freely between indoor and outdoor spaces (weather permitting, with cosy indoor options during the cooler winter months).

Free-flow play is not just play. It builds independence, curiosity, and confidence in children from the very earliest age.

Morning Tea (8:30 – 8:45)

A nourishing break to refuel little bodies before the morning's exploration continues.

Learning Through Play All Morning Long

Throughout the morning, our educators guide children through sensory experiences, gentle activities, and nurturing one-on-one interactions. In the Nursery, learning isn't structured — it's woven into every moment of the day.

From exploring textures to listening to voices, every interaction is an opportunity for development.

Individual Routines Because Every Child is Different

From mid-morning onwards, each child's personal routine takes priority. Naps, feeds, and playtime are all managed according to what works best for your child — not a one-size-fits-all timetable.

This is something we feel strongly about at Landsdale ELE. Babies and toddlers thrive on predictability and consistency, and we work closely with families to honour the routines you've already established at home.

Lunch (11:00) & Afternoon Tea (2:00)

Nourishing meals at consistent times help anchor the day and support healthy development.

Wind-Down Time (from 4:45)

As the day draws to a close, children gradually transition and may join other rooms or move to outdoor spaces, enjoying a calm, relaxed end to their day before families arrive for pick-up.
